    Where will paintball be in a decade?  It's never easy to predict the future, but that doesn't mean we can't try.     I did it.  And I don't regret it in the least. I've now gone a calendar year while only playing with a pump in real games.  I've shot lots of non-pumps during that time for reviews (and just for fun), but whenever "game on" has been called, I've been on the field with a good, old-fashioned, one-shot-to-one-pump paintball gun.  I have to admit, while I was outgunned many times (there's nothing quite like taking on an Ego with a Phantom), I had a blast.  Plus, I spent considerably less on paint.     While following the sport of paintball, I've often wondered where the sport really needs to improve. Is it the cost? The difficulty in recruiting new players?     Social Paintball has released their coverage of the PSP World Cup with a DVD or high definition Blu-Ray.  Check out the preview and you'll agree that if you're going to watch paintball, it needs to be in HD. For those of you who have never experienced tournament paintball, this is a chance to get a detailed view of what's going on so you can actually understand the game and see what's happening.  I generally don't enjoy standard definition paintball videos because it's difficult to follow the action and you rarely see hits or even get a feel for what's happening in any specific sequence.

Purchased a Kingman Spyder Victor kit (via Ultimate Paintball) to begin my collection.     I have been looking at paintball markers and paintballs markers. Spent hours looking at specs. I have it narrowed down, a DP F8, G-3 or and an Invert mini. I don't really have a preference on poppit or spoolie. One big preference is a board with auto and semi settings and hopefully burst. I just want the biggest bang for my buck. I am willing to buy used. There may have been a gun i missed, my budget is $100 after i sell my 98 custom. So, i am open for suggestions.

    I'd like to go remote to further enhance my palmers stabilizer that i just got in. I've got a molle belt and pack setup picked out from specops that will kick ***. I've also been looking at stocks but can't find much that catches my eye. I then picked up my A-5 and walked around the house with it full of paint and liked what i felt. Having a remote with no stock makes it shorter, lighter, more maneuverable and just plain ****** feeling. Does anybody on here have/did have a setup like this? Do/did you like it?

    I am receiving texts from Jes at the Paintball Extravaganza. He indicated that NO photography is permitted at this event and that Rick Chard will be releasing a media photo disk for all media after the show. Something about TECHPB's trick with the photos from the last event. He indicated that all media is PISSED OFF! I will update this thread throughout the day as I receive updates.

    From Viper: There are few things more irritating than this You are playing at an event and in the middle of making a big move when someone on your side, or the other side, does something that disrupts everything because they don't know the rules. The refs stop everything and try and fix the problem, but it's too late, and your big move was ripped away from you. Don't be that guy! Know the rules. Take a look now while you have plenty of time. Get to know them. Make a copy and bring it with you. Don't be the guy who screws up everyone's good time because you didn't take a few minutes and read.

    It's odd how adults in a group of walkons have no complaints until a few "experienced" players show up. Everything is fine as long as they rule the field by way of their size and adult status. Throw in a couple of regulars and suddenly the adults start whining. They're getting hit more often, not stealing as many flags and having to watch their "six" more regularly. What's not odd is how the younger players in the group react. They are not intimidated. In fact, they are relieved to have someone join the game and ease the pressure. I don't have to worry about tournament players scaring off…

    Wow. What a weekend! I hope everyone got home safe. Many things stood out to me this weekend but the greatest for me was seeing the Knowing operate as a single cohesive unit all weekend long. SOVA, SSK, S&D, Fracture, THC, PCM, Wilmington and ABP Locals alike. Great job meshing together as a side. It was a honor working with you all and in some cases against you.     Welcome to Season 16 of Splatmandu Paintball Club. This Saturday was the kick-off to Groundhog work on the fields. Thank you to our first 33 Groundhogs of 2010! A lot got accomplished in a short period of time. The first round of deteriorated items were removed from the Neutral Zone supply pile and was taken to the yard for burning. The Jail in the City was also removed as well as a few broken pallets from the Hornet’s Nest. Miscellaneous BOO! items were also removed from the fields.
